Q- What is a Pawn Shop?

A- A Pawn Shop is a store that offers secured loans to people with items of personal property used as collateral.

Q- How does a Pawn Loan work?

A- Bring in something of value (like a piece of gold jewelry) we will determine a price and using your identification we will write a pawn loan for you. You will leave your item with us and pay 10% of the borrowed amount per month. We will hold your item for up to 2 months without you making any payment at all. And more importantly we will hold your item indefinitely for as long as you need provided you pay your 10% each month.

Q- Can I pick up my item anytime?

A- Yes! You can pick up your item anytime during our orperating hours, even the same day you made your loan. Keep in mind that you will still be charged the 10% fee. We do not prorate loans.

Q- Who uses a Pawn Shop? Why should I come there instead of going to a pay-day loan or check cashing store?

A- People from all walks of life use Pawn Shops as a quick, convenient and confidential way to borrow money. A short-term cash need can be met with no credit check or legal consequences if the loan is not repaid. Pawn Shops charge consideralby less interest than pay-day-loan stores. Pawn loans do not cause people to overextend credit or go into bankruptcy.

Q- What happens if I don't come and pay within the 60 day period?

A- If you don't pay on your loan within the 60 day period your items are placed out for sale and become the property of the Pawn Shop.

Q- How can I be sure the merchandise I purchase at a pawn store isn't stolen?

A- Less than one tenth of one percent of all pawned items are identified as stolen goods. Customers are required to provide picture identification and a complete description of the merchandise is transmitted daily to a state wide law enforcement data base. This process dramatically decreases the likelihood tha a thief would bing stolen merchandise to a Pawn Shop.

Q- Can I pawn my gun?

A- Yes! You can use a firearm as collateral for a pawn loan. When you come to pay off your loan and retrieve your firearm you must fill out a federal firearms form 4473 and you must pass the federal firearm background check. There is a state charge of $7.50 for this process unless you have a Utah Concealed Permit, in which case the fee is waived.

Q- Why do I get an error message when trying to process my order?

A-Make sure to check that your billing address matches your credit card billing address. Your shipping address may be different. Double check your card number, expiration date and CVV code. If still having problems please give us a call. 801.731.3440
